Originally designed by architect Otto Bello, the venue was built between 1997 and 1998 by Ruben Ortiz, a civil engineer.

The Finca was Maria and Ruben dream. As parents, they wanted their 3 children to spend their childhood in the countryside.

Now their 3 kids are adults, and they realized that young people should also help to develop Colombian countryside. They also know tourism is a excellent tool for social change and growth. So they connected the dots, and understood the responsibility they had toward the small village and the town that have seen them growing up.
